Every day, industries, utilities, and consumers rely on accurate measurement of gases and liquids. Whether in concerns gas meters used in homes, flow measurement systems in industrial installations, or emerging hydrogen applications, confidence in measurement accuracy is essential for fair trade, safety, and regulatory compliance.

 

For our Flow Measurement team, we are looking for an Account Manager who enjoys developing new business opportunities, building strong consumer relationships, and working at the intersection of technology, measurement, and innovation.

 

In this role, you focus on customers active in gas metering, flow measurement technologies, hydrogen appllications, and related industries. You help customers navigate technical and regulatory requirements while connecting their needs to NMi’s testing, certification, inspection, and verification services.

 

You manage opportunities from initial contact through to proposal, contract, and project initiation. Working closely with Sales Support and Technical Experts, you ensure a smooth transition from commercial discussions to proejct execution. In addition, you contribute to tenders, strategic initiatives, and cross-business-unit opportunities within NMi.

 

You operate in a market that continues to evolve due to the energy transitions, technological innovation, and the growing role of alternative fuels such as hydrogen. This creates a dynamic environment where commercial expertise, industry knowledge, and relationship building are essential to success.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Develop met business opportunities and expand NMi’s customer base within the gas metering, flow measurement, and hydrogen sectors

  • Build and strengthen long-term relationships with customers, prospects, and industry stakeholders

  • Act as the primary commercial contact for customers, understanding their needs and connecting them with the right NMi services

  • Manager opportunities throughout the full commercial cycle, from lead generation and qualification to proposal, contract, and project handover

  • Leverage your industry network to identify opportunities and open doors to new customers and markets

  • Contribute to tenders, bid processes, and strategic commercial initiatives across multiple business units

  • Work closely with Sales Support and our technical specialists to ensure successful project delivery

  • Monitor market developments, industry trends, technological innovations, and regulatory changes to identify growth opportunities and achieve commercial objectives

Job requirements

What you bring

  • 5-10 years of experience in technical sales, account management, or solution selling

  • Experience managing complex stakeholder environments and decision-making processes

  • The ability to build long-term customer relationships and develop strategic partnerships

  • Strong commercial instincts and the ability to recognize opportunities within technically complex environments

  • Confidence in communication with both technical specialists and senior decision-makers

  • A strong sense of quality, reliability, and compliance

  • Experience within the gas metering, flow measurement or hydrogen, with an established and relevant network in the industry is an advantage

  • Fluent Dutch and English communication skills, both written and spoken
