Account Manager Mobility
- Hybrid
- Delft, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands
- Sales
Job description
Are you a proactive, solution- driven sales professional with a passion for technology, innovation, and societal impact? Do you excel in complex technical environments, enjoy building long-term strategic relationships, and thrive in a domain where accuracy and regulation matter? If so, you are the Account Manager Mobility that we are looking for!
What are you going to do?
As Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in strengthening and expanding NMi’s position within the Mobility domain. You are the primary discussion partner for strategic customers such as police organisations, international manufacturers, inspection bodies, and mobility technology companies. You help them define their needs and match them with the right NMi solutions – from type approval examinations to (re)verifications, from certification programmes to cyber resilience assessments.
You will proactively develop new opportunities, spot market trends in legislation and technology, and convert them into concrete business. Supported by our technical experts, metrologists and auditors, you translate complex technical insights into clear value propositions. Your work spans the full sales cycle; identifying opportunities, advising customers on our services, creating proposals, closing deals, and coordinating a smooth handover into operations.
You operate in a sensitive, highly regulated domain where measuring instruments must be legally defensible. Reliability, clarity and transparency – towards customers and stakeholders – are essential.
Your work has direct societal impact. Without certified and legally compliant police measurement systems, road safety enforcement would not be possible. Without verified and accurate taximeters, consumers cannot rely on fair billing. And without validated emission-measurement instruments, environmental regulation cannot be enforced. Through your work, you help ensure fairness, safety, and trust in the systems society relies on every day.
Key Responsibilities
Develop strategic relationships: Build and expand long-term partnerships with key clients such as police agencies, instrument manufactures, inspection bodies and mobility tech companies
Advise on and sell high-value services: Promote NMi’s portfolio, including type approval examinations, (re)verifications, certification trajectories and cyber resilience assessments
Identify market opportunities: Spot trends in legislation, enforcement technology, and mobility innovation to create new business opportunities for NMi
Drive business development: Use NMi’s international reputation to open doors at authorities and global manufacturers, and grow our market presence
Collaborate with technical experts: Work closely with metrologists, auditors, and technical specialists to build strong proposals and ensure smooth project execution
Navigate a regulated, high-impact domain: Ensure clear communication, compliance awareness, and trustworthy customer interactions in a legally sensitive field
What do we expect from you?
5-10 year of experience in technical sales, account management or solution-selling
Strong experience navigating complex DMUs and decision-making structures
Ability to build long-term relationships rather than short-term transactions
Comfortable engaging with both engineers and senior leaderships
A commercial mindset that sees opportunity in technical complexity
Strong sense of quality, reliability, and compliance
Intrinsic motivation to contribute to societal impact (safety, environment, fair measurement)
Background in mobility, technology, engineering or metrology is a plus, but mindset matters most
Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken
