What are you going to do?
As Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in expanding NMi’s customer base by actively pursuing new business opportunities within your industry. You will act as a trusted discussion partner for prospects and customers, helping them define their needs and matching them with the right NMi solutions.
You will proactively identify leads, develop market opportunities, and drive them from initial contact through quotation, order, and project setup, working closely with our Inside Sales and Operations teams. Your primary focus will be on new business within the Liquid & Gas and Utilities sectors (residential and industrial), leveraging your industry experience and extensive network. You will build strategic, long-term relationships with customers and key stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication in Dutch and English. Additionally, you will contribute to tenders, tactical assignments, and new business initiatives across multiple business units.
Key Responsibilities
Proactively develop new business opportunities and pursue leads to expand NMi’s customer base
Identify and pursue market opportunities within the Liquid & Gas, and Utilities sectors
Act as the primary point of contact for prospects and customers, understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions
Drive projects from initial contact to order, coordinating with Inside Sales & Customer Services, and Operations teams
Contribute to tenders and tactical assignments across business units
Maintain accurate client and project information in CRM systems
Monitor market developments and industry trends to identify opportunities and ensure KPI targets are met
Job requirements
What do we expect from you?
Extensive industry experience in Liquid & Gas (residential and/ or industrial), Utilities, or related sectors, with similar account management or business development role
Proven track record in business development and account management, with a focus on new business acquisition
An extensive and relevant network within the sector
KPI-driven, results- oriented, and proactive in pursuing leads and opportunities
Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
Experience using CRM systems to track project and account development, preferably HubSpot
Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken (Dutch is mandatory)
A technical degree is a plus, but practical industry experience is essential
