What are you going to do?

As Approval Expert you study measuring instruments for international manufacturers who are seeking (global) certification. You are responsible for the entire process from application to certification. This includes the revision of documents, developing test plans, performing tests, reporting on the results and issuing the certification. The outcome of your work can lead to a national or international approval of the measuring instrument, based on regulations including associated interpretations (The Metrology Act, MID, Welmec, OIML, IEC, etc.).


You will work within one of our Business Units (Utilities, Liquid & Gas, Weighing & Mobility, Calibration & Verification) managing multiple projects simultaneously. You will have intensive contact with your clients, keeping them updated on the status of their application and the outcome of the test results. You will primarily work from our office in Delft, but travel may be required to perform tests on site for our customers.


What do we expect from you?

We are looking for an engineer of physicist who enjoys delving deeper in the world of technology and sharing their expertise. In this role you will set up and run tests in our lab, evaluate the results and make a final assessment based on the data. Accuracy and attention to detail are key. Project management is an essential part of your role; you are able to keep an overview of the status of your projects, whilst keeping your customers, the team and other stakeholders updated on the progress. In addition:

  • You have a HBO degree in a technical field, preferably in Electrical Engineering or Physics;
  • You have experience setting up tests in a lab and reporting on the results;
  • You have project management skills ensuring completion on time and within budget;
  • You are an excellent communicator in English;
  • You take initiative, are accurate and have a passion for technology.
