Business Development Manager Cybersecurity

  • Hybrid
    • Delft, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands

Job description

Help organisations bring secure and compliant digital technologies to market

As products become increasingly connected, manufacturers face growing cybersecurity and compliance requirements. Independent testing and certification are becoming essential to demonstrate product security, meet regulations, and build customer trust.

For our Cybersecurity team, we are looking for a Business Development Manager who enjoys opening new markets, building customer relationships, and developing commercial opportunities in an evolving international landscape.

In this role, you play a key part in expanding NMi’s cybersecurity services and strengthening our position in this growing market. Rather than joining an established business line, you help shape its future. You identify new opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and support customers navigating increasingly complex cybersecurity and compliance requirements.

Working closely with colleagues across NMi and our sister companies, you bring together expertise in testing, certification, inspection, and advisory services to create integrated customer solutions. You translate customer challenges into commercial opportunities and help establish NMi as a recognised partner in the field of cybersecurity and digital trust.

You manage opportunities throughout the full commercial cycle, from identifying prospects and developing propositions to negotiating agreements and ensuring a smooth transition into delivery. This role offers a unique opportunity to build something new, influence strategy, and make a visible contribution to NMi’s international growth.

What you’ll do:

  • Drive the international growth of NMi’s cybersecurity services and help establish a strong market presence

  • Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities with customers across multiple industries and regions

  • Build long-term relationships with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders

  • Understand customer challenges and translate their needs into integrated solutions combining expertise from NMi and its sister companies

  • Develop commercial propositions that address evolving cybersecurity, certification, and compliance requirements

  • Manage the complete commercial process, from lead generation and proposal development to negotiations, contract closure, and project handover

  • Monitor market developments, emerging regulations, and technology trends to identify growth opportunities

  • Represent NMi at international conferences, trade fairs, industry events, and customer meetings

What you’ll get:

  • The opportunity to build and shape a growing business domain within an established international organization

  • A highly entrepreneurial role with significant autonomy and ownership

  • Exposure to an international customer base and rapidly evolving market

  • The opportunity to work at the intersection of cybersecurity, certification, technology, and regulation

  • A competitive salary based on your experience

  • A 13th month salary (paid monthly), holiday allowance, and profit sharing

  • 30 days of annual leave, with the option to buy or sell additional days

  • Hybrid working options

  • A solid pension scheme

  • Travel reimbursement, home office allowance, and collective health insurance

  • Access to sports benefits

Job requirements

What you bring

  • 5-10 years of experience in international business development, account management, or B2B solution selling

  • A proven track record of developing new markets and creating sustainable business growth

  • Experience within cybersecurity, digital trust, or the ATICC sector (Advisory, Testing, Inspection, Certification, and Calibration)

  • The ability to navigate complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders and decision-makers

  • Experience positioning and selling integrated, multi-disciplinary solutions

  • Strong commercial instincts combined with the ability to understand technical and regulatory requirements

  • An entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, independent, and results-driven approach

  • Willingness to travel internationally

  • Excellent communication skills in English, Dutch is an advantage
