Which business unit?
In 2024, NMi Group acquired 2 Dutch companies; Minerva Meettechniek and TrustCB. For these two entities we are looking for a Financial and Business Controller who works independently is proactive and has a hands-on mentality. You will work at least 50% of the time from our location in Amersfoort, the other 50% is hybrid, working from home or another location within NMi Group. You will act as a sparring partner for the general managers of both Minerva and TrustCB supporting them in bringing these entities to a higher level.

What are you going to do?
This combined role of Financial and Business Controller offers a great opportunity to monitor the financial performance of 2 independently operating companies, while at the same time supporting them to further professionalize their financial processes. Given the size of both companies, you will be involved in a broad scale of activities where you ensure a correct financial administration. You are responsible for budgeting and (cashflow) forecasting, preparing payment files and monitoring liquidity, and the monthly closing focusing on accrual, WIP accounting is essential. You don’t mind entering an adhoc purchase invoice or sales invoice and you collaborate with customer service to ensure timely debt collection.

You report monthly figures and KPI’s to the head office (NMi Group), you asses and analyze results, margins and other KPI’s. You will play a pivotal role in professionalizing internal and external reports and processes in accordance with the prescribed accounting principles of the NMi Group. Your are first point of contact for accountant in relation to tax returns and preparation of the annual accounts and you coordinate the audit for Minerva and TrustCB, which is part of the group audit. You are a sparring partner for general managers and source of information for other employees such as customer service and HR.

What do we expect from you?

You are an analytical, decisive and entrepreneurial personality with a hands-on working attitude. You have an independent, positive-critical attitude and come up with suggestions for improvement, solicited and unsolicited. In addition you have/ are:

• Completed a business economics, financial degree at minimum HBO level
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Excellent communication skills which enable you to navigate between different levels of the organisation
• Fluent in both English and Dutch, both written and verbal
• Located in the Amersfoort area and willing to travel to other NMi locations within The Netherlands on occassion
• Experience with Exact Online, AFAS and Lucanet. Interleave is a pre
• Proficiency in Office 365, specifically Excel and Powerpoint
