Financial & Business Controller

What are you going to do?

In this role, you will work for two of our Group companies: TrustCB and NMi Certin B.V.

For TrustCB, you will take a hands-on approach to managing financial processes, monthly closing with a focus on accruals/WIP, KPI reporting, budgeting, cashflow forecasting, debt collection, and coordination with accountants and auditors. You will act as a sparring partner for the general managers and support professionalization of reporting and processes. Some activities, such as payroll, will be handled in collaboration with third parties, while you remain responsible for their flawless execution.

For NMi Certin B.V., you will use your hands-on experience to coach and mentor two Assistant Controllers, guiding them in payroll, project administration, monthly closing, and other financial activities. You will help set priorities, ensure effective teamwork, and translate opportunities for improvement into concrete actions. This combination makes the role both strategically impactful and operationally diverse.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end financial processes for TrustCB, including monthly closing, accruals/ WIP accounting, KPI reporting, budgeting, and cashflow management

• Provide actionable financial insights to management teams and act as sparring partner for general managers

• Oversee and validate outsourced financial activities (e.g., payroll, invoice processing), ensure accuracy and flawless execution

• Lead, coach, and mentor two Junior Controllers, ensuring effective teamwork and professional development

• Analyse results, margins, and KPI’s, and identify opportunities for process improvements

• Coordinate annual audits for your companies as part of the annual Group audit

What do we expect from you?

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics, or related field

• At least 5 years’ experience in financial controlling, accounting, or business finance

• Hands-on experience with end-to-end financial processes and team leadership

• Proven ability to coach and mentor junior finance staff

• Analytical, decisive, proactive, and customer-oriented

• Fluent in Dutch and English both written and spoken

• Proficient in Office 365; experience with Exact Online, Exact Globe, or Lucanet is a plus
